Health professionals recommended hearing screenings for individuals who are 60 years and older. 47% of Canadians over the age of 60 have some degree of hearing loss. Early detection can lead to more effective hearing treatment.

Generally, young/ middle aged adults who are not experiencing any problems with their hearing do not need to have annual hearing tests.

If you work in a noisy environments, it is a good idea to have a baseline hearing test completed so that your hearing health care professional can monitor your hearing throughout the years.

If you are finding you are having more difficulty hearing, you do not need a referral from your family doctor to make an appointment for a hearing test. Reach out to your local audiologist if you have any questions or concerns related to your hearing. We are here to help!👂
